Outfielder Craige Lyerly has jumped from one side of Tampa Bay's complex in Port Charlotte, Fla., to the other.
Lyerly has been activated by the Charlotte Stone Crabs, who put catcher Luke Bailey on the disabled list. Bailey is out with a broken hand, but he's remained on the active roster because the Crabs didn't need a roster spot.
Now, they're adding Lyerly, who hit .285 in 50 games with short-season Hudson Valley last year. The 23-year-old also scored 23 times, had 19 RBIs and stole 17 bases.
