Mayo Acosta, the primary catcher at high-Class A Charlotte the past few weeks, has been assigned to Triple-A Durham and Bowling Green's Alejandro Torres has taken his place with the Stone Crabs.
Acosta has a .278 average in 22 games at Charlotte in place of the injured Luke Bailey. The Hot Rods replaced Torres, who was hitting .150 in six games, by activating Alejandro Segovia. Segovia last played May 5 and has a .250 average in 14 games.
Also, the Stone Crabs have activated outfielder Brett Nommensen, who hasn't played this season while recovering from surgery on a hamstring he hurt last year.
