Chris Pettit hit a tiebreaking two-run home run in the sixth inning to lift the Jackson Generals to a 4-2 win over the Biscuits on Sunday.
The Biscuits had the tying run in scoring position with one out in the ninth. Emeel Salem struck out before Hak-Ju Lee walked to load the bases. Ty Morrison struck out looking to end it.
In the sixth, Steven Proscia hit a one-out double and Pettit homered on a 2-0 pitch from Biscuits reliever Marquis Fleming (3-1). Starter Kyle Lobstein gave up two runs on six hits in five innings.
Omar Luna was 4-for-4 for Montgomery with a two-run single in the fifth that tied it 2-2. Generals starter Taijuan Walker, Seattle's No. 1 prospect, lasted five innings Sunday. Walker (3-1) gave up six hits, three to Luna, with two walks and three strikeouts. The 19-year-old has a 2.23 ERA.
