David Wendt was 3-for-3 with three runs scored to help the Biscuits beat the Jacksonville Suns 7-1 and salvage a split of Sunday's doubleheader at Riverwalk Stadium.
Wendt hit his third triple of the season -- and just the fourth of his career -- and scored in the third inning to put Montgomery ahead 1-0. He singled and scored as part of a five-run fifth and singled and scored in the sixth.
Merrill Kelly, Alex Koronis and Kirby Yates combined on a seven-inning three-hitter. Jacksonville scored in the sixth off Yates without benefit of a hit.
