Colome to Bulls; Riefenhauser up from Crabs

Right-hander Alex Colome has been promoted to Triple-A Durham, while left-hander C.J. Riefenhauser moves up from high-Class A Charlotte to the Biscuits.

Colome was 8-3 with a 3.48 ERA in 14 starts for Montgomery. He won his final five starts, including his first nine-inning complete game in his last start Sunday. Colome missed six weeks early in the season with an oblique injury.

Riefenhauser had a 7-8 record and a 4.76 ERA for the Stone Crabs. He started the Florida State League All-Star Game, at which point he was 7-2 with a 2.97 ERA. In his last seven starts, he's 0-6 with an 8.27 ERA.

Riefenhauser, 22, was a 20th-round draft pick in 2010 from Chipola (Fla.) junior college.

Durham's scheduled starter tonight, Chris Archer, last started Saturday, so Colome could make his Triple-A debut Friday.
