Friday's Rays roundup

Bulls 5, Gwinnett 3
Alex Colome
tossed six shutout innings in his Triple-A debut. He gave up two hits with four walks and four strikeouts, but he didn't factor in the decision. Stephen Vogt hit a two-run triple to give Durham the lead in the seventh and finished with three RBIs.

Jupiter 4, Stone Crabs 1
Cody Rogers
homered in the fifth. Steve Tinoco singled and walked.

Great Lakes 8, Hot Rods 6 (11)
Jake Hager
hit a solo homer, walked twice, was caught stealing and scored twice. Cameron Seitzer singled twice, walked and scored. Justin Woodall threw three shutout innings on one hit, no walks and four strikeouts.

State College 1, Renegades 0
Jeff Ames
threw 5 2/3 shutout innings on three hits, two walks and two plunkings. Charles Epperson walked, stole and threw out a runner at home. The remaining offense consisted of four singles.

Darryl George
hit three singles and had three RBIs. Willie Argo had a single, an RBI, an error and threw out two runners at third. Omar Narvaez tripled, singled and scored. Jon Weaver and Eli Echarry worked four innings each. Why is that significant? See earlier post.

GCL Orioles 11, Rays 1
Adderly Rosa
singled twice, stole and had an RBI. Cesar Perez doubled, walked and scored.
