As Rays start blinging, Biscuits end series

The Biscuits end their first series of the season tonight against the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, while their major-league affiliate starts a weeklong celebration -- the Rays are calling it "Championship Week" -- of last year's American League championship.

The Rays play their home opener tonight against the New York Yankees and will raise the AL pennant. On Tuesday, the players and staff get their rings, while fans receive replica rings. Fans get championship cowbells Wednesday and a replica championship trophy Saturday (against the White Sox). On Sunday, the first 10,000 kids get a replica AL championship pennant.

The Biscuits also gave away replica championship rings last year, but the Rays are understandably a wee bit bigger, as you can see.
