Friday's Rays roundup

Norfolk 17, Bulls 2
Dan Johnson
had two RBIs and Leslie Anderson doubled, singled and walked. Brian Baker gave up seven runs in 4 1/3 innings. Catcher Craig Albernaz worked an eight-run (three earned), five-hit, three-homer ninth.

Stone Crabs 8, Daytona 3
Omar Luna
had two hits, doubled, walked, scored and knocked in two runs. Tyler Bortnick finished 3-for-5 with a steal and run. Anthony Scelfo also had two RBIs. Hak-Ju Lee singled, walked and scored twice. Kirby Yates worked three shutout innings of one-hit ball.

Hot Rods 5, Lake County 1 (Game 1)
Nick Schwaner
singled, doubled, walked, scored twice and, from right field, threw out a runner at home. Steve Tinoco had a single, walk and two RBIs. C.J. Riefenhauser pitched five innings, allowing one run on six hits.

Hot Rods 1, Lake County 0 (Game 2)
Backing up Victor Mateo's no-hitter, Hector Guevara singled home Kevin Kiermaier with two outs in the second inning. Kiermaier had walked, stolen second and went to third on an error.

Drew Vettleson
had a single, two walks, steal, caught stealing and an RBI. Taylor Motter and Jake DePew also singled and walked.
