Phillips deactivated to create space for Reid

Relief pitcher Paul Phillips is moving off Montgomery's active roster to make room for Ryan Reid, recently demoted from Triple-A Durham. Phillips is 2-4 with a 3.89 ERA in 39 1/3 innings this year.
