Charlotte left-hander Kyle Lobstein landed the Florida State League's weekly pitching award with two straight dominating performances against the St. Lucie Mets.
Lobstein threw 12 shutout innings in two starts for the week, both wins over St. Lucie. He gave up nine hits, walked one and struck out 11.
Lobstein is 9-9 with a 3.89 ERA in 20 games this season. Of his 19 starts, Lobstein has failed to reach the fifth inning only once and the sixth inning only three times.
The 21-year-old is a three-time winner of the FSL award. He also win in mid-May and early June.
