Outfielder John Shelby, with Triple-A Durham scheduled to activate outfielder Brandon Guyer from the disabled list, has returned to the Biscuits. Promoted after Thursday's game, Shelby was 0-for-3 in one game.
The move does give Montgomery a full complement of 24 players for the first time since July 15.
