Mark Thomas and Hak-Ju Lee hit consecutive doubles in the eighth inning to give the Biscuits a 1-0 win over the Jacksonville Suns on Friday.
The doubles came too late for Montgomery starter Matt Buschmann, who struck out a career-high 12 and gave up just one hit in 6 2/3 innings.
Buschmann struck out eight of the last 10 hitters he faced. Of the 12 strikeouts, 10 were swinging. He took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Taylor Krick hit a soft, one-out liner past third baseman Greg Sexton.
Buschmann, Frank De Los Santos and Adam Liberatore combined on a three-hitter.
