Thomas leaves for family emergency

Biscuits catcher Mark Thomas left the team after batting practice today due to a family emergency, manager Billy Gardner said. Thomas, who is from Georgia, is expected to return Saturday. Mayo Acosta replaced Thomas in tonight's lineup.
