Pinch-runner Brad Coon scored from second on Brett Nommensen's ninth-inning infield single to give the Biscuits a 2-1 win over the Jackson Generals on Wednesday.
With two outs and runners on first and second, Nommensen hit a chopper to first baseman Rich Poythress. Poythress and Nommensen scrambled to the bag with Poythress attempting a diving tag and Nommensen dived in.
As first-base umpire Derek Mollica signaled that Nommensen was safe, Coon was halfway to home plate and scored without a throw.
Mikie Mahtook homered in the fourth for Montgomery, which snapped a five-game losing streak.
