Matt Buschmann carried a shutout into the seventh inning and combined with two relievers on a five-hitter in the Biscuits' 7-1 win over the Mississippi Braves on Wednesday.
Buschmann (5-6) has worked into the seventh inning in four of his last five starts. He left with one out in the seventh after Tim Smith's RBI single cut Montgomery's lead to 3-1.
Neil Schenk recorded the final two outs of the seventh. Kirby Yates worked the eighth and ninth.
The Biscuits answered with a four-run rally, highlighted by Hak-Ju Lee's two-run triple. Lee has reached base in 44 straight games.
Kyeong Kang hit a two-run home run in the fifth for Montgomery. Omar Luna doubled home Ty Morrison in the sixth.
