Miguel Gonzalez's RBI single capped a four-run fourth inning in the Birmingham Barons' 5-2 win over the Biscuits on Tuesday in Birmingham.
Biscuits starter Merrill Kelly, after retiring Birmingham's first nine batters, gave up three hits, two walks and three stolen bases in the fourth.
Otherwise, Kelly faced the minimum for seven innings. Dan Black's sixth-inning walk, erased with a double play, was the only blemish outside of the fourth inning against Kelly (2-4).
The Biscuits did not record their first hit until Shawn O'Malley's single to lead off the sixth inning. Mikie Mahtook hit a two-run double in the sixth.
