Jake Thompson fired seven stellar innings in the Biscuits' 2-0 win over the Huntsville Stars on Saturday.
Thompson (6-5) gave up just three hits with two walks and three strikeouts. In his last four starts, he's 4-0 with a 1.05 ERA over 25 2/3 innings.
C.J. Riefenhauser worked the final two innings for his eighth save to finish Montgomery's sixth shutout of the season.
The Biscuits scored in the first and seventh innings, both on wild pitches.
Kevin Kiermaier began the game with a double and went to third on Shawn O'Malley's bunt single before coming home. In the seventh, Kyeong Kang walked and moved up on a Riccio Torrez walk before two wild pitches brought him around.
