Former Biscuits pitcher Shane Dyer took the California League's weekly award
Dyer, now with Bakersfield in the Cincinnati organization, won both of his starts for the week, giving up two runs in 14 1/3 innings. The right-hander has made just four starts for the Blaze and is 2-0 with a 1.37 ERA.
Dyer was a combined 11-14 with a 3.99 ERA the last two years for the Biscuits. He was named a midseason Southern League All-Star last year, though he had been promoted to Triple-A Durham.
