Daniel Renken won for the first time since the opening series of the season in the Pensacola Blue Wahoos' 9-3 victory over the Biscuits on Friday.
Renken (2-5) recorded his seventh quality start of the season, including five in his last seven starts. He gave up three runs on five hits in six innings.
Marquez Smith knocked in three runs, while Travis Mattair and Matt Kennelly each scored twice for the Wahoos, who tied a franchise record with 15 hits. Mattair snapped a 3-3 tie with a two-out home run in the fifth inning.
Montgomery starter Enny Romero (6-3) gave up four runs in five innings.
Cameron Seitzer doubled home Robby Price in the first inning for the Biscuits, who racked up five hits, including one in the final six innings. Montgomery added two runs in the third. Kevin Kiermaier tripled in Robi Estrada and scored on a Price groundout.
