Riefenhauser moves up to Bulls

C.J. Riefenhauser, Montgomery's most-dominant reliever this season, has been promoted to Triple-A Durham.

The left-hander is 4-0 with 11 saves and an 0.51 ERA in 34 appearances. Hitters have compiled a .153 average, 11 walks and 48 strikeouts in his 53 innings.

The Biscuits have a 25-9 record in games where Riefenhauser has appeared, including wins in 14 of his last 15 outings. He has not given up a run in his last 15 innings or an earned run in his last 30 1/3 innings.

Riefenhauser is still eligible (and expected) to be named a Southern League midseason All-Star next week, though he won't participate in the game. He's been a midseason All-Star in each of the last two years.
