Riccio Torrez hit a go-ahead, three-run home run in the seventh inning and Enny Romero grabbed his team-leading seventh victory with the Biscuits' 4-3 win at Chattanooga on Wednesday.
The Biscuits led 4-1 before Chattanooga mounted a two-run rally in the ninth against Erik Hamren and had the tying run in scoring position with one out.
Brian Cavazos-Galvez's groundball brought in Miguel Rojas to make it 4-3 and the out at second led to the ejection of Lookouts manager Jody Reed. But J.T. Wise hit a groundball to third baseman Torrez, who threw to second for a game-ending forceout.
Torrez cracked a three-run home run in the seventh inning to erase a 1-0 deficit and give Montgomery its third straight win this week over the Lookouts. The Biscuits clinched just their third series victory at AT&T Field in franchise history.
It was Torrez's first homer since May 30 and his fifth of the year.
Romero (7-3) gave up an unearned run on six hits in six innings. He walked one and struck out two. The left-hander is 6-2 with a 1.37 ERA in his last nine starts. In those 52 2/3 innings, he's allowed 34 hits and 19 walks.
