Price is (again) Rays' Clemente Award nominee

David Price, the Tampa Bay pitcher and former Biscuit, has been nominated by the Rays for the Roberto Clemente Award.

It's the second straight year Price has been the Rays' nominee. The award recognizes a major leaguer's sportsmanship and off-the-field involvement.

Price has his Project One Four that supports programs and charities in Tampa Bay and Nashville, Tenn., where he went to Vanderbilt and near where he grew up.

He also helped start the Rays Dugout Club, which sponsors two recreation centers each summer. Price has also hosted a bowling event the last two springs to benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Price and the Ted Williams Museum have had "An Evening with David Price" the last two years. It has raised more than $40,000 for Tampa Bay programs.

Next year & many years after it will be Chris Archer. He embodies everything Clemente was about.
