Cipriano to sit; Luna promoted

Biscuits second baseman Cody Cipriano, who left Thursday's game due to a hamstring injury, has been placed on the disabled list will sit through the weekend. Infielder Omar Luna has been promoted from high-Class A Charlotte. Luna had played sparingly for the Stone Crabs and was 1-for-18 in eight games. The 23-year-old hit .185 in 76 games for Charlotte last year.

UPDATE: Instead of putting Cipriano on the DL, the Biscuits deactivated pitcher Alex Cobb.
