Hung-Wen Chen and two relievers combined on a six-hitter to help the Tennessee Smokies down the Montgomery Biscuits 3-0 on Saturday.
Chen (4-5) snapped a five-start losing streak, throwing 6 2/3 innings. The right-hander, the first player from Taiwan signed by the Chicago Cubs, allowed all six hits, walked two and struck out four.
David Cales retired all four hitters he faced and Scott Maine struck out the side in the ninth.
Montgomery starter Alex Cobb (0-1) worked five innings. Reliever Darin Downs threw three innings and struck out seven.
