Martin Maldonado hit a two-run home run, Chris Errecart scored twice and three pitchers combined on a four-hitter to lead the Huntsville Stars to a 4-0 win over the Montgomery Biscuits on Tuesday.
Mark Rogers allowed one hit over five innings, while Mike Jones gave up two hits in three innings. Brandon Kintzler worked the ninth.
Errecart singled and scored on a Chuckie Caufield flyout in the second inning. He doubled and scored on an error in the fourth. Maldonado’s homer came in the fifth.
Montgomery’s offense included singles by Chris Nowak (first inning), Chris De La Cruz (sixth), Emeel Salem (eighth) and Matt Fields (ninth), plus five walks. De La Cruz walked twice.
