Charlotte utility man Henry Wrigley and Bowling Green right-hander Shane Dyer -- both potentially future Biscuits, for those who wonder why I write about these things -- won Tampa Bay's organizational awards for the month of April.
Wrigley hit a robust .373 with 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored in 20 April games for the Stone Crabs. He had a .402 on-base percentage.
Dyer was just 1-2 in five April starts, but needed to be recognized after compiling a 1.55 ERA, including a seven-inning, four-hit shutout April 25. The Hot Rods hit just .224 in April. (Dyer won last week by throwing seven no-hit innings, which may help him when it comes to May honors.)
