Rays do it again; Oakland's Braden throws perfect game

Oakland's Dallas Braden threw a perfect game against Tampa Bay today. It's the second straight year the Rays had a perfect game thrown against them, joining Mark Buehrle of the White Sox last July. Braden (4-2) threw 77 of 109 pitches for strikes. He's the 19th pitcher in major-league history to throw a perfect game.

(6:13 update: By the way, just found out Milt Livingston, an advertising rep at the Advertiser and a pretty nice guy, cut Braden from his fantasy team last week. In his league, perfect games are worth a $25 bonus. If anyone out there knows Milt, make sure to "congratulate" him. I know I will.)
