Wetumpka High outfielder Reggie Golden is in uniform, has a wood bat in his hands and is eagerly eyeing the batting cage right now.
Let's see, Rays GM Andrew Friedman has shown up a few hours early and area scout Milt Hill and crosschecker Bart Braun are here, so it's logical that Golden -- considered a potential high-round draft pick -- might get in a few swings before next month's draft. Golden was limited this year for Wetumpka due to a strained hamstring.
UPDATE: Golden hit two home runs and received hearty compliments during and after his session. He's also worked out for Toronto and has two more currently scheduled. Golden came straight to Riverwalk in uniform from a Wetumpka team photo session.
