Mark Saccomanno doubled in the go-ahead run and scored on a wild pitch to lift the Jacksonville Suns to a 4-2, 10-inning victory over the Montgomery Biscuits on Tuesday.
The Suns stretched their South Division lead over the Biscuits to 2 1/2 games. The teams play the rubber game of their series Wednesday night.
Montgomery pitching took a no-hitter into the eighth inning, but the Suns did more than register a hit. Jacksonville also scored to tie the game 2-2 on a Vinny Rottino single.
The Biscuits scored twice in the second. Chris Nowak and Leslie Anderson hit consecutive doubles to make it 1-0. John Matulia’s two-out single scored Anderson. In the third inning, the Suns scored without benefit of a hit.
