Carolina second baseman Cody Puckett and Mobile pitcher Wes Roemer, after high-profile games Saturday, won the Southern League's weekly awards today.
Puckett knocked in six runs Saturday while Roemer threw seven shutout innings that included 12 strikeouts.
Puckett was 10-for-29 with 13 RBIs for the week ending Sunday. He hit three home runs and scored five times. Puckett is hitting .346 with a league-best 25 RBIs this year.
Roemer (3-0) ranks third in the Southern League with a 2.25 ERA. He allowed three hits in his no-decision Saturday.
