John Shelby tied a career high with five RBIs in the Biscuits' 14-5 win over the Birmingham Barons on Tuesday. Shelby's three-run double capped a six-run first inning for Montgomery. He added a two-run double in the sixth that made it 12-3.
Stephen Vogt was 2-for-4 with two walks, three RBIs, three runs scored, a triple and a double. Vogt is 14-for-29 with eight RBIs and nine runs scored in his seven-game hit streak.
Shelby, who is in his sixth professional season, has had five RBIs four previous times. The most recent was in June 2009 when played for the Barons and did it at Huntsville.
