Toledo 2, Bulls 1 (Game 2)
Jay Buente threw a six-inning, three-hitter in his Durham debut. Dan Johnson and Russ Canzler each had a hit. Jose Lobaton walked.
Tampa 5, Stone Crabs 3 (10 innings)
Mike Sheridan hit an RBI double and scored in the ninth to tie it. Kyle Lobstein allowed two runs on five hits and two walks in seven innings. Greg Sexton was 2-for-3 with a walk, double, RBI, run and fielding error. Brett Nommensen reached thrice and was caught stealing.
Hot Rods 8, Lansing 4Hector Guevara hit a fourth-inning grand slam and finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored. He was also caught stealing home. Marcus Jensen worked 6 1/3 innings, giving up one run on four hits. He walked none and struck out seven.
