The Biscuits just placed outfielder John Matulia on the disabled list after his ailing hamstring flared up again Friday. Catcher David Wendt goes on the active roster.
Matulia left Friday's game after seven innings and had missed Thursday's game with the hamstring. He'd missed 12 previous games with the same problem.
"There's something to be said for trying to play through it," manager Billy Gardner said. "But unless he can run and go full throttle, we have to get him right. How long will that take? I don't know."
Wendt has been with the Biscuits since May 9 but has not been on the active roster.
