Hot Rods make most of protest

The Bowling Green Hot Rods made the most of their second chance with Tuesday's game. Having won a protest over a play in the bottom of the fifth, the Rods held West Michigan scoreless over the final four replayed innings Thursday and won 5-4.

Jimmy Patterson came on and threw four shutout innings, allowing one hit, walking one and striking out six.

If you need to review what's happened the last three days, here's the protested play and here's where they won the protest.
