Sunday's Rays roundup

Bulls 3, Norfolk 1
Alex Torres
pitched seven innings, allowing one run on 10 hits and a walk. Jay Buente came out of the bullpen for his first save. Robinson Chirinos hit a two-run double in the sixth and Felipe Lopez knocked in J.J. Furmaniak in the seventh. Furmaniak singled, doubled and walked. Russ Canzler had two hits and a walk.

Rained out.

Hot Rods 11, West Michigan 7
Derek Dietrich
hit a two-run home run, doubled, walked, scored three times and had three RBIs. Cody Rogers singled twice, walked and scored three runs. Keith Castillo was 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Phil Wunderlich and Hector Guevara had two RBIs each.

Renegades 10, Lowell 7
Jeff Malm
hit two two-run home runs, walked twice and scored three times. Juniel Querecuto singled and walked twice with two runs scored and an RBI. Chris Winder walked thrice and scored twice. Matt Rice doubled twice and walked twice. Jason McEachern went a season-low 3 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on four hits and three walks.

Kingsport 11, Princeton Rays 2
Drew Vettleson
had two singles and an RBI. Taylor Motter had a single, RBI and steal. Reinaldo Lopez threw 2 2/3 shutout innings.
