Biscuits outfielder Kyeong Kang, who came to the United States when he was 14 years old, still visits South Korea every offseason, which led to some suspense in November 2010.
When North Korea bombed Yeonpyeong island, a rekindling of the Korean War seemed imminent. Kang, though he wouldn't have been required to enter the military, feared what might happen.
"I was really scared," Kang said. "I thought, 'Oh, no, I may not be able to go back to America.'"
