The Mississippi Braves, before starting a series at the Biscuits, had an ejection-filled ninth inning with Mobile on Saturday.
Native Alabamian
Cory Rasmus was ejected after hitting
Rossmel Perez with a pitch with two outs.
Michael Tarsi hit the next batter,
David Nick, with an 0-2 pitch, but he was not ejected.
The benches cleared
for unknown reasons after Tarsi walked
Ryan Strieby and Perez scored on a wild pitch. Perez took out Tarsi at home to spark the fracas. Braves catcher
Christian Bethancourt, third baseman
Alden Carrithers, Perez and BayBears manager
Turner Ward were ejected.
An infield popup ended Mississippi's 7-3 victory and a five-game series sweep.
