Biscuits right-hander Alex Colome won the Southern League pitcher of the week award, the third time the team has won it this year.
Colome won both of his starts for the week, starting with seven shutout innings Tuesday at Jackson and finishing with Sunday's six-hitter against Mississippi. Colome is 8-3 with a 3.48 ERA and a five-start winning streak.
Biscuits Matt Buschmann and Kyle Lobstein won weekly pitching awards in May. Outfielder Kyeong Kang was the hitter of the week in early May.
Huntsville outfielder Khris Davis won this week's hitting award. He was 12-for-22 with four home runs, nine RBIs and six runs scored for the week ending Sunday. Davis has a 13-game hitting streak in which he has a .490 average. He's scored at least once in seven straight games and knocked in at least one run in eight straight.
