Brett Nommensen scored three times and knocked in three runs, Matt Buschmann pitched into the eighth inning, and the Biscuits beat the Mobile BayBears 8-2 on Wednesday.
Nommensen's RBI single snapped a 2-2 tie in the seventh and led to a four-run inning. He hit a two-run home run in the eighth.
In three games vs. Mobile this year, Nommensen is 6-for-12, including both of his home runs. He's scored six times, had five RBIs, walked twice and doubled.
Buschmann (3-3) left after giving up two singles to start the eighth inning in his longest outing of the season. He allowed seven hits with two walks.
