Archer scratched from Durham start

Chris Archer has been scratched from his scheduled start tonight, Adam Sobsey of the Independent Weekly reports. No reason given yet.

Jim Paduch replaces Archer for tonight's home game against Syracuse.

Archer is 4-1 with a 4.06 ERA this season. The Bulls have averaged 7 1/2 runs in his six starts. In his longest start of the year, Archer threw six shutout innings in his last start Tuesday.

UPDATE: Sobsey reports it's due to a bruised calf suffered in Archer's last start.
