Jaime Pedroza hit a grand slam and Tommy La Stella knocked in four runs for the Mississippi Braves in a 19-2 win Tuesday over the Biscuits, matching the worst home loss in Biscuits history.
Pedroza's second-inning grand slam started the scoring. Mississippi scored eight times in four innings off starter Jake Thompson. The Braves added eight in the eighth to take a 17-run lead.
The 19-2 beating matched Montgomery's loss to the Jacksonville Suns on May 26, 2005.
Phil Gosselin and Mycal Jones each scored three times for the Braves, who totaled 19 hits.
