Enny Romero gave up three hits over seven shutout innings to lead the Biscuits in a 7-2 victory over the Tennessee Smokies on Monday.
Romero (8-3) has a 1.21 ERA and seven wins in his last 10 starts. He's allowed 41 hits in those 59 2/3 innings. On Monday, he walked three and struck out three.
Riccio Torrez scored twice and had two RBIs to lead Montgomery's offense. He walked and scored in a two-run fifth inning and hit a two-run single and scored in a four-run sixth.
Kyeong Kang also scored twice for the Biscuits, who scored their most runs in 13 second-half games. Cameron Seitzer's league-leading 21st double brought in Mikie Mahtook to give Montgomery a 7-0 lead in the seventh.
