Auburn added a former Biscuit to its baseball coaching staff today.
Hunter Vick, a Thomasville native who played in two games for the Biscuits at the end of the 2005 season, was hired as Auburn's volunteer assistant coach.
Vick finished his playing career in 2009 and has coached at junior colleges the last four years, including this spring at national champion Central Alabama.
In 2005, Vick jumped from Rookie-level Princeton to the Biscuits, who were shorthanded due to players going to an international tournament. The infielder was 0-for-4 in two games.
Recently hired Auburn hitting coach Greg Norton played for Tampa Bay in 2006-07. Norton took a rehab assignment with the Biscuits and hit .280 in seven games in May 2007.
