Mississippi's Aaron Northcraft didn't allow an earned run over six innings, while the Biscuits issued a dozen walks in the Braves' 12-6 victory Sunday.
Northcraft (5-8) gave up three hits and an unearned run with one walk and four strikeouts.
Omar Luna, who won the Southern League batting championship for Montgomery last season, doubled twice, singled twice, knocked in a run and scored three times to lead Mississippi. Robby Hefflinger doubled, walked twice, had three RBIs and scored twice.
The Braves showered Biscuits starter Jake Floethe (1-6) with five earned runs on 11 hits and five walks in 4 2/3 innings. Robi Estrada had two RBIs and Robby Price scored twice for Montgomery.
The Biscuits' 12 walks were one shy of a team record set in a 9-6 home loss to Mississippi on June 18, 2008.
