1. Biscuits outfielder Mikie Mahtook likely won't be in Thursday's lineup, either. "I think it will be at least two days, maybe three," manager Billy Gardner said. Mahtook said the left side of his body remains "a little stiff and sore." "I was trying to make a play and ran into a wood wall," Mahtook said. "It didn't feel too good."
2. Shortstop Shawn O'Malley has been taking dry swings, had plans to field groundballs today nixed by the weather and is getting close to returning from his abdominal strain. "I'm still a little stiff, but there's no pain," O'Malley said. "I feel fine."
3. With the recent rain and gloomy skies today, the Biscuits moved back Enny Romero's scheduled start. He'll be quite limited Thursday, Gardner said. "Probably four (innings) or 60 (pitches)," he said. "That sets him up, with a couple of days' off, to pitch in the Futures Game."
