Montgomery third baseman Evan Longoria won the Southern League's weekly hitting award Monday. Longoria was 12-for-28 with seven runs scored and eight RBIs this week. He homered twice.
Tennessee's Mark Holliman won the pitcher's award. He only threw a no-hitter to do it. Holliman might have been a good choice for Longoria's award since he also hit a two-run homer during his no-hitter.
