Rays to adjust rotation?

The St. Petersburg Times and Tampa Tribune are stoking the fires over a potential change in the Tampa Bay starting rotation and their writers have been dropping strong hints that Andy Sonnanstine could be in line for a promotion. Lesser hints have involved J.P. Howell and Jason Hammel.

Sonnanstine, who gave up 10 hits and four runs over six innings in a Thursday loss, isn't on the 40-man roster, so the Rays would have to make a move there to accomodate him. Waiving current starter Jae Seo may be that move.

Something to keep an eye on.

It's about time somebody in the inept TB organization considered it. With their records, Seo with his 8.13 ERA and Edwin Jackson with his 7.12 ERA and 0-6 record wouldn't even be kept on a AAA roster, let alone in a big league rotation.

Sonnanstine, on the other hand, has been a winner at EVERY level, leading Durham with a 2.66 ERA and a team-leading 66 Ks in 71 innings, and Hammel is right behind him with a 2.85 ERA.

Time to dump Seo and E.Jackson, and if they don't, time to dump Maddon and the GM!!
