Rays snag switch-pitcher in supplemental

Right fielder Drew Vettleson of Washington's Central Kitsap High was Tampa Bay's pick in the supplemental first round. He's also a switch-pitcher, though he doesn't want to do that as a pro. Vettleson has signed with Oregon State.

The MLB draft press pack has this ...
As a junior in 2009, Drew went 4-2 with a 1.60 ERA, two no-hitters and 45 strikeouts in 38.0 innings. Vettleson also hit .415 with five homers and 20 RBI at the plate and was named the Gatorade State Player of the Year last season. Drew has signed to play at Oregon State next season.
