St. James grad a South Atlantic League All-Star

Brandon Kloess, the pride of St. James, has been picked to play in the South Atlantic's midseason All-Star Game.

Kloess is with the Kannapolis Intimidators, has an 0.92 ERA, five saves and 37 strikeouts in 29 1/3 innings this year. The game is June 22 at Greenville, S.C.

Former Alabama football signee Destin Hood, with Hagerstown of the Washington Nationals' organization, was also named to the North Division team.
