Figueroa promoted to Durham

Biscuits infielder Cole Figueroa has been promoted to Triple-A Durham today after the Bulls lost three players to promotion, injury or suspension.

Figueroa was hitting .314 with 17 walks, 12 RBIs and 17 runs scored in 25 games for Montgomery. Last year for the Biscuits, he had a .283 average. The 24-year-old is in his fifth professional season.

Durham has a player to be announced (likely Will Rhymes) headed to the Rays to replace disabled list-bound Evan Longoria (knee injury), finally put outfielder Brandon Guyer on the DL (ankle) and lost Tim Beckham to a 50-game drug suspension.
